BASICS.

Q:  WHAT IS THIS DEPOSIT FOR?

A:  You are paying for the individuals session but all the money goes TOWARD ANY purchase online later after photos go online!  We take individuals in at least THREE poses and dancers get a minimum of TEN photos (of varying lengths/crops/poses) in the online gallery.  You do not need to know what you are purchasing JUST in what costume/s you would like individuals taken in.  You will still get to see the photos before you finalize your decision for what prints/products make your final cart.  EVERYONE (regardless of if you made a deposit or not) will still be able to purchase group photos online!

Q:  WHEN DO I MAKE THIS DEPOSIT?

​A:  You can make your deposit up to ten days before all the up to the day and time of your first scheduled photo session!  All deposits are made online @ releveAWAY.com  Make sure you have made the deposit for the individuals you'd like BEFORE the scheduled session for that particular costume.  We only take the pictures for those dancers that we show in our system as being paid.

Q:  WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR MAKING A DEPOSIT?

​A:  Find your studio on releveAWAY.com.  Classes are organized by day we are shooting them (which is not always the same as the day class is usually held).  Find your class/es, follow the prompts for adding to cart, and check out!  You can always purchase more later (so long as it is paid for BEFORE the scheduled session you plan on purchasing!)   

On actual photoDAY, just follow your studio's instructions on getting him/her ready and to the studio on time.  During each class session, we usually take the group shot first and then we will take the individuals of those who have made a deposit for the class. 

On your studio's designated galleryDEBUT (about two weeks after our shoot), you will receive an email with the subject 'relevePHOTO Deposit Information' that will have your unique GIFT CERT CODE with information on how to use it toward your purchase!  You can then go online to view the photos and decide what prints and/or products you'd like!  You'll use your GIFT CERT CODE (and any other payment method, if additional is required) toward your cart total!

Q:  WHAT DOES THE DEPOSIT COVER?

A:  ANYTHING ON OUR SITE including shipping... and even tax.  This deposit works just like a gift certificate or gift card.  You can purchase prints and products with it.  You can use it towards group shots, compCOLLAGEs, photos from last year... ANYTHING on MYrelevePHOTO.com.  It is NOT restricted to just the individuals you made the deposit for so, for example, if you liked more of your ballet individuals, use it all on that!  The ONLY thing it CANNOT go towards is FUTURE DEPOSITS!

Q:  WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE THE PHOTOS?

A:  We want you to feel 100% CONFIDENT making your deposit!  So, if you don't like them or decide you need to spend that money elsewhere or whatever the reasoning, just email us and we will start the refund process.  We ONLY issue FULL REFUNDS.  We will take down your dancer's photos and refund your payment method.  We do NOT issue PARTIAL REFUNDS, because the idea of the deposit is that you are committing to spending the deposit amount on the photos we shoot.  You must email us BEFORE your galleryFINALE to take advantage of this option.

REFUND PROCESS:

  1. Email us BEFORE your studio's galleryFINALE with the following info:  Studio Name; Gallery Number (three digits); Location of your dancer in the first group shot OR a screenshot of one of your dancer's individuals; your GIFT CERT CODE (or forward your Deposit Information Email); the last four digits of the credit card used.
  2. We will confirm your request, take down your dancer's photos, null your GIFT CERT CODE and start the refund.  Refunds may take between two and ten business days based on your credit card/banking institution. 

Q:  WHAT IF I DON'T USE ALL THE DEPOSIT DOLLARS?

A:  Like a gift card, the balance remains on the GIFT CERT CODE and can be used toward any future online purchase.  You CANNOT use a remaining balance towards a FUTURE DEPOSIT, only MYrelevePHOTO.com purchases.  To add a previous year's balance to a current GIFT CERT CODE, see below 'Q: HOW DO I REDEEM A PAST GIFT CERT CODE BALANCE?'

Q:  WHAT IF I FORGET TO APPLY MY GIFT CERT CODE?

A:  Email us ASAP and we can cancel your order, then you can replace the order using your GIFT CERT CODE.  This is the most immediate and FREE way to apply a code after the fact.  If you don't want to replace the order, we can apply your code for a $5 Loads-Of-Busy-Work-And-Accounting-Nightmare Fee.  We can only help with this BEFORE YOUR ORDER HAS GONE TO PRINT, which could happen anywhere from 48 hours to ten BUSINESS days after it was placed, so email us ASAP.  We cannot issue any refunds after 120 days, apologies! 

Q:  HOW DO I REDEEM A PAST GIFT CERT CODE BALANCE?

A:  Email us from the email address used in the past to make your deposit!  Emails us three things:  Email address (yes the one you're emailing from); Your Dance Studio; Your NEW GIFT CERT CODE (if you have one as this is where we will add the previous balance).  Next, wait... it may take us up to 48 BUSINESS hours for us to process this request.  We will send you the GIFT CERT CODE with the total balance! Then, go buy you some sweet photo swag!

SPECIFIC SITUATIONS.

Q:  HOW DO YOU HANDLE SIBLING SHOTS?

A:  We LOVE siblingSESSIONs!  A siblingSESSION is treated as one SESSION.  So if neither of the siblings took individuals, it would be charged as one SESSION for $29!  You purchase this on releveAWAY.com by finding the class you plan to have us shoot the siblingSESSION and just add one of that class to your cart.  When prompted to enter the first and last name, just include both of the siblings first names in the First Name box.  That will alert us to only take their photos together!

OR a siblingSESSION is FREE with the purchase of TWO other individuals SESSIONS.  Meaning if two siblings both took individuals (so paid at least $29 + $29), then the siblingSESSION is on us!  You purchase this on releveAWAY.com by finding the DAY you plan to have us shoot the siblingSESSION and click on the 'siblingSESSION for [insert day here]' box.  This page has instructions for how to apply a discount code to this purchase that will take $29 off your balance.  Only ONE free siblingSESSION per family!  

We take these sessions at the end of one of the dancer's scheduled group times, just have 'Sibling B' pop in towards the end of the scheduled class session for 'Sibling A'!  We ask for your patience in squeezing in these SUPER CUTE sessions. 

Q:  HOW DO YOU HANDLE BUDDY SHOTS?

A:  A buddy session is basically treated as one SESSION and only requires ONE $29 deposit.  You purchase this on releveAWAY.com by finding the class you plan to have us shoot the buddies and simply add one of that class to your cart.  When prompted to enter the first and last name, just include ALL the first names in the First Name box and all of the last names in the Last Name box of those to be in the shot. That will alert us to only take their photos together.  We ask for your patience in squeezing in these extra sessions, at the end of the regular class session after other individuals have been completed.

In 2021, we still plan to shoot buddies without touching due to COVID-19 Safety Protocols unless otherwise noted when making your deposit!

Q:  HOW DO YOU HANDLE SMALL GROUPS/DUETS/TRIOS?

A:  Small Groups/Duets/Trios are treated as one SESSION and only requires ONE $29 deposit.  You purchase a deposit for this on releveAWAY.com by finding the DAY you'd ideally like to have us shoot the SESSION and look for the 'compSESSION' box/product.  If you don't see one, we may be booked or may not offering SESSIONS on that particular day and you can try another day.  If you can't find these, please email us AT LEAST ONE DAY BEFORE we are scheduled to START your studio as we likely can wiggle some things around and find some time somewhere!  

You will be able to see the available ten-minute SESSION times by click the drop down in a compSESSION product page.  Only one deposit is needed for the whole group; we do NOT take individuals for small groups unless a separate deposit is made for one.

DEPOSIT-MAKING TIPS.

1.  USE OUR PRICELIST TO ESTIMATE YOUR CART.

MAIN IDEA:  Spend LESS up front but still have the most options to choose from!  Check out our pricelist online here.  Estimate what you think you will want, don't forget gifts for Grandma, etc.  Add in tax (6-8%) and shipping (4.25-8.25) both of which your deposit can cover! Take that total and then calculate how many costume deposits will get you just BELOW that estimated amount.  Make a deposit for that many costumes as then you'll have the most image options for still less than you think you'll spend after the fact!

2.  CHECK OUT WHAT YOU ORDERED LAST YEAR.

MAIN IDEA:  Spend LESS up front but still have the most options to choose from!  Check your email for Order Confirmations from previous years and see your typical ordering habits.  Check that against our current pricelist.  Make sure your estimate includes tax tax (6-8%) and shipping (4.25-8.25) both of which your deposit can cover!  Take that total and then calculate how many costume deposits will get you just BELOW that estimated amount.  Make a deposit for that many costumes as then you'll have the most image options for still less than you usually spend in the end!

3.  LARGE FAMILY, JUST DO A SIBLING SHOT!

MAIN IDEA:  Document the year but for minimum initial investment!  Just take all the siblings together in coordinating costumes for just one deposit of $29.  See above 'Q: HOW DO YOU HANDLE SIBLING SHOTS?' for more details!  We'll warn you though... those Sibling Sessions turn out some INCREDIBLY cute pics! 

4.  46 COSTUMES!?  TAKE IN YOUR FAVORITE AND YOUR DANCER'S FAVORITE!

MAIN IDEA:  Get a few individual shots to document the year, can supplement Group Shots or compCOLLAGE (if offered) for the rest!  We get that some dancers have SO many costumes and our set up isn't great for just a one-shot in all of them as we dedicate good time & talent to getting great/unique individuals!  For those we recommend our Top Two Plus Groups Plan!  Pick YOUR favorite costume (since you are the one paying) and have your dancer pick his/her favorite costume (since I'm sure he/she has a strong opinion on this one).  It will give you a solid deposit up front toward great individual options and you can still order any of the group shots and/or, if offered, a compCOLLAGE which of course, the deposit can go towards as well!  We still suggest using tip #1 above to get the most options for your planned purchase (as group shots can add up, as well!)
